Concrete Change

www.concretechange.org

Visitability was first introduced to the U.S. in 1986 when Eleanor Smith, founder of Concrete Change realized how easy it would be to make the built environment more accessible for everyone. Concrete Change has worked with Habitat for Humanity and have consistently gaining ground in the U.S. and have been instrumental in establishing state ordinances that have changed how single family homes are constructed.

Concrete Change is working with the U.S Green Building Council’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) guidelines to provide a point towards a LEED rating, when designers incorporate basic access into single-family homes.
